I wrote this piece when I was a student at music college. It is still dear to me, like meeting an old friend! This piece, if i remember correctly, is built by adding accents together to create a climax. These subito accents are all based on a harmonic series whose bass note is sounded by the pedal. There is also an ensemble version of this work where the double bass holds the pedal note. All events are held by the ostinato element.

この作品は、僕が音楽学校の学生時代に書いたもので、懐かしい友人のように、今もなお大切な曲です。僕の記 憶が正しければ、この作品はアクセントを加えることでクライマックスを形成しようとしました。それらのアク セントはすべて突如現れますが、いずれも倍音列上に置かれ、その基音はペダルによって鳴り響きます。この曲 には合奏版もあり、そこではコントラバスがペダル音を担当します。曲の中で起こることはすべて、オスティ ナートの原理によって支えられています。
